As a mission-driven
business, we have a strong interest in sharing
our unique environment with educational and special
interest groups. Walking groups, artists, spiritual
retreats and university groups have all enjoyed
Rough and Tumble and our surrounds.
We can accommodate
groups of up to 20 in our five spacious guest
rooms, and will happily work with your group to
provide projects or guided activities to suit
your needs. With a background in experiential
education, Weasel has created onsite activities
designed to enable groups to interact with our
environment.
Susan works closely
with the Department of Conservation to develop
longitudinal (ongoing) flora and fauna surveys;
your group gains a stake in our environment by
participating in these studies. Multiple volunteer
projects such as pest control and track maintenance
are available.
We work with several
tertiary institutions to provide ongoing projects
that can be integrated into their curricula; our
environment and the human impact on it provides
many fascinating insights for interdisciplinary
and problem based learning approaches.
Because
every group has different goals, please contact
us to begin exploring your options. We can provide
a number of different accommodation packages to
suit your group's needs.
